We have friends from out of town that booked a weekend there in our behalf. Especially if it was a wrong date booked. I worked at a hotel for two years and we refunded and waived third party bookings daily. It's not about the 120 bucks, it's the principal. The gal on the phone said we could not stay there on the booking date either, because I threatened to leave a review. This hotel clearly is about money at any cost, and does not care about the customer experience. Again, we wanted a room that night, and the reservation that confirmed was for a month later. We were in a family hardship, staying at the hospital and the front desk gal said " you should have read the fine print". You can tell the employees are miserable and are allowed to be rude and the management/owners don't care because the reviews on here say it. The front desk gal said all sales are final, and refused to change our date or refund our money. The third party site called the hotel to change the date minutes after we booked.
